Our summer has been steady but not crazy and for that I am thankful. It is so easy to fill the calendar with busy things, but Bo and I try really hard to fight against the rat race that can easily steal our family time.
Meg has been taking ballet and today will be her last day. She will resume in August for the entire school year. She has enjoyed every moment of dancing like a "princess". At this age, she is mesmerized with princesses, fairies, magic wands and dressing up in pretty dresses. Ballet has given her an outlet to be carefree with other 3 year olds who share her same passions.
Jack usually hangs out with me while we wait for Meg's dance class to end. Her class is upstairs in the dance studio, so he enjoys sliding down the stairs and climbing up them for the entire 45 minutes! He will occasionally take a break for juice and snack. Besides this weekly outing, Jack is completely smitten with tractors, trucks, swinging and wrestling with daddy. He is talking all the time!
For the first time in our family's history, we went to the swimming pool as a family! Bo has never gone with me and the kids, so this was his first chance to see how hard it is to keep track of them at the pool. Because we went on a Saturday, there were other dads there which made Bo feel more comfortable. We were all exhausted by the time we left, but we made sweet memories. Bo even said he may try it again! I'm so proud of him.
I hope to begin posting some pictures so that you can see us in action. I'm still learning the ropes of the "blog world."

Hey Gayle -
I didn't know y'all had a blog until I was leaving a comment on the Atchison's website. So I am writing to say hello and congratulations on Bo's new job! My Mom actually told me about it. I added your blog to mine as I am learning the "blog world" as well :) See you Sunday,

How fun that Meg hets to take ballet!! Aren't these girls of ours such a hoot ?! It makes me chuckle to think of Bo at the pool since he only wore jeans to play softball! We miss you guys!
btw...i need a copy of that if-then chart too!
Gayle, Pleaase tell Bo that he needs to make it to the pool more often. When we were younger we couldn't have been paid to get out of the pool or river! Please give Meg and Jack a kiss from Aunt Angie. Love ya'll
Sounds like you all are having a busy summer. Hope to see your pictures soon, the last ones you sent were real good. Glad Bo got to the pool with you and the children. Take care and come up to Lowndes County soon. Love: Aunt Sallie
